I was recently listening to Mozart's "Don Giovanni" opera and in one scene i remembered this movie. I really recommend it, it tells the tale of two opera troupe friends and their lives from the Nationalist government of China all the way to the after math of the Cultural Revolution. If you have a chance i really recommend this movie it's very well written and the acting is great.
